Loop Dance Company is the resident dance company at The Brook Theatre in Chatham.

The Artistic Director, Nina Atkinson, and six dancers create contemporary repertory work, often working with internationally renowned guest choreographers. Loop also has an extensive dance education programme, for people who have never danced before, to professional dancers who want to perfect their skills. The company is supported by a team of administrative staff and a board of trustees. Click on each image to read more about each Loop member.

Nina Atkinson

Artistic Director

After completing 3 years training at LABAN, Nina went on to form Loop Dance Company. As Artistic Director of Loop, Nina has worked with many well know choreographers including Filip Van Huffel, Jonzi D and Yael Flexer. She has created many works for Loop including site specific, site sensitive, installation and film based work with both professional and community performers. In addition she has led and overseen many community, youth and educational dance projects.

Marie Forbes

Practitioner

Marie started her dance training as a member of Medway Youth Dance Theatre after which she went to Middlesex University and gained a BA(hons) in Dance Studies, as part of her degree she also completed a number of modules in Mathematics. Harriet Parker - Beldeau

Harriet is a Margate based dance artist, maker and improvisor. Graduating from Laban with The Marion North Award for outstanding achievement in performance, her practice is now centred around authentic movement and playful performance.

Daisy is a contemporary dancer and choreographer working in London and the South East. Hayley Reinprecht

Practitioner

Hayley is qualified dance teacher and personal trainer. In 2016 joined the DASP (Dance Artist Support Programme), with Loop Dance Company, and since then has been a practitioner for Loop. During Lockdown, she continued to develop her dance teaching skills and expertise in Graham Technique through taking part in the Graham Teacher Training Intensive Online course. Most recently, Hayley completed her Masters in Education, and specialist training in SEN, and currently teaches Loop’s Open Contemporary Class on Thursdays, at The Brook.
